Getting To Know Trampolines

If trampolines have been on your mind, we wanted to share more of the questions we get asked frequently by our potential customers. We know that getting to know trampolines can be a bit confusing — especially if you’re trying to decide if you want an inground or an above ground trampoline.

We are here to answer any questions you may have.

Getting To Know Trampolines

When you’re ready to buy you may wonder how long it takes to get a trampoline delivered to your house, right?

We ship our systems out the same day the order is placed as long as it is before 12 pm Arizona time. Normal transit time is three to seven business days anywhere in the lower 48 states.

What is the potential shipping cost for an inground or above ground trampoline?

Our IGT (in ground trampoline) system can be shipped anywhere in the U.S. for $250. The system comes in four boxes and weigh about 330 pounds. Shipping rates outside the U.S. depend on location and tax implications. Price quotes are available upon request.

What size and/or shape should your consider for your inground trampoline?

Our In-Ground Trampoline (IGT) system is offered in a 12 foot and 15 foot round models.

Once the trampoline system is delivered, how long will it take you to put together and will you need a crew?

We’ve found that it takes two adults less than two hours to assemble the trampoline. Once the pit is ready, three or four adults will be needed to safely lower the system into place.

How To Choose A Trampoline Enclosure

Planning your budget for an inground or an above ground trampoline? Don’t forget to budget for the highest quality trampoline, mat and springs you can but also for an enclosure. How to choose a trampoline enclosure is something we talk with potential trampoline owners about all the time.

Just as when you buy a swimming pool there is safety equipment you will invest in — a pool cover, pool alarms and more — there is safety equipment you can (and should) buy for your trampoline. A trampoline safety enclosure is as important to the safety of those who use the trampoline as are covers for the springs and a high quality jump mat.

How To Choose A Trampoline Enclosure

There are several styles of trampoline enclosures and they vary based on who will use the trampoline and whether it is an above ground or an inground trampoline.

Trampolines purchased online or from toy stores, may not be as safe as you’d imagined they would be. When you buy a trampoline from a dealer who only specializes in trampolines and trampoline equipment can, and will, provide higher quality and therefore safer trampolines. When you’re buying a trampoline for you and your family you want to get one of the highest, and safest quality available, right?

Look for a trampoline enclosure that is:

  1. Easy to install (this is true if you’re installing it on your own
  2. That is tall enough to prevent any accidents from happening if anyone jumps too high
  3. That has small enough netting that no one will get their arms or legs caught in the mesh
  4. That has a safety zipper strong enough to withstand someone bumping into it

There are other safety enclosure questions you will want to talk with us about, but this is a primer to get you started down the right path of what questions to ask and why.

Considering A Trampoline: Ask These Questions

As with any purchase, there are pros, cons and questions that need answers. Getting an above ground or an inground trampoline is no different. When you’re considering a trampoline: ask these questions and get answers that satisfy what you need and want to know.

If you’re buying something for your children to use and get enjoyment out of, you will want to do your homework and make certain you know the pitfalls and benefits before you not only buy a trampoline but when you decide if you want an inground or an above-ground model.

Grab a piece of paper and write down some trampoline pros. They could include:

  1. They’re fun
  2. They are a great way to get a non impact workout
  3. They build your coordination
  4. They help with balance
  5. Enhances hand-eye coordination
  6. It’s a great cardio workout
  7. Help prevent childhood obesity, or adult obesity, in your family
  8. If you’re an athlete, a trampoline is a great piece of workout equipment
  9. They are great for children all the way up to seniors

Here are some potential trampoline cons:

  1. Your insurance premiums may increase
  2. You or your family could get injured

A trampoline can provide hours of fun and entertainment right in your own backyard. A trampoline just might be a way to get your children off their electronic devices, out from in front of the television and into exercise. The exercise on a trampoline is disguised as fun and that makes it even better!

Considering A Trampoline: Ask These Questions

Almost anything you invest in for your family and children could lead to a potential injury. Whether your child is climbing on the swingset, riding a bike, being on the family swimming pool diving board or riding a horse they could get injured. Almost everything in life comes with risk.
It is up to the parents and adults in the household to set rules and parameters for use of everything from swimming pools to bicycles to jumping on a trampoline. Ask your trampoline seller for his or her advice on how to make your trampoline as safe as it possibly can be.
When you’re buying a trampoline, invest in as many safety accessories as you can afford when you buy your trampoline. Skimping on safety is never something you should do — no matter what you’re buying for your family.
If you’ve been considering getting your own family trampoline — in-ground or above ground — consider these pros and cons, do your research then give us a call. We can answer any questions you may have about becoming a trampoline owner.

How Does Air Flow Impact My Trampoline?

There are many things to think about when you’re buying an in-ground or an above ground trampoline. How does air flow impact my trampoline may not have been one of them, but it is something that we think about and discuss with our customers.

What do you think about when you’re planning to invest in a trampoline?

  1. What size should I get?
  2. Where should I place it?
  3. Should I get an in-ground or an above ground trampoline?
  4. What accessories do we want with our trampoline?
  5. Will we do the installation of the in-ground trampoline ourselves or ask for help?

What you do already know about having a trampoline is that they are fun! Trampolines also offer a way to get in shape in a healthy way and in a way that won’t lead to injuries!

How Does Air Flow Impact My Trampoline?

What is air flow and what does it mean to your in-ground trampoline project?

Air flow is very important for any trampoline system. If there isn’t proper air flow the “bounce” will not be what you want it to be. Without proper air flow the bounce will be diminished because proper air flow leads to better bounce.

Because we understand the importance of proper air flow, we have designed a spring pad that allows the air to flow around the inside and the outside of the spring pad. When you jump on a trampoline, the pad lifts slightly, and no air escapes. When you land, the air flows between the in-ground trampoline pit and outside of it.

In 2015, because we understood the importance of air flow to the experience of your rebounding on an in-ground trampoline, we introduced a high performance, anti-slip, jump mat. This jump mat has 15X greater air flow. The air flows between the springs and the jump mat’s surface. This increase of air flow gives the trampoline a bigger, more high performance style bounce. This means you bounce higher and land softer.

If you’re thinking of adding an in-ground trampoline to your backyard for your children or for your own exercise routine, give us a call and make the investment in our complete In-Ground Trampoline system.
