What is a trampoline?
It is a structure, above or in-ground, that has a taut piece of fabric that stretches over a steel frame and is held tight with springs. With the right jump mat and springs, a person who uses a trampoline rebounds — jumps — high in the air and lands on a soft, bouncy surface. Rebounding is a wonderful feeling because you are floating weightless for a few seconds.

A recreational trampoline — in-ground or above ground — is what we sell and are what you see in your backyard. They are made with waterproof canvasas and springs that are resistant to rust and the weather. You can buy a round or a rectangle trampoline although there are other shapes. The size you will want for your home use will be contingent on the weight of the heaviest person who will use it and the size of the space you have to devote to it.
A competitive trampoline is sturdier than a home use one and is made from a specially developed jump mat fabric. Most of these are portable and lightweight making it easy for an athlete to pack it and take it with them so they can work out on it no matter where they are. A competitive trampoline is typical of a standard shape and size and has springs that are more tightly coiled than recreational trampolines.
A mini trampoline is, as the name implies, smaller than a traditional trampoline. It is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use when space is limited. A mini trampoline offers the user the benefit of a great aerobic workout even though they are not going overly high in the air.
A water trampoline is popular and is used on the water. It is an inflatable tube that floats on the surface of the water and the user jumps on the surface (hopefully without falling into the water!)
