Throw A July 4th Trampoline Party!

Throw A July 4th Trampoline Party!

It's almost the Fourth of July! Independence Day! A day for family, friends and celebration! If you're hosting a backyard barbecue or a picnic or any other type of gathering for the Fourth of July, you know the trampoline will figure in! How can you throw a July 4th trampoline party? It's easy! One of the biggest parts about including the trampoline into the party planning is to let your guests know you have a trampoline and to ask them if they're all right with their children jumping on it. Not all parents will be and it might just be easier to declare it off limits to everyone rather than having a child or two sitting idly by watching the other children jumping.

If all of the parents are on board with the jumping on the trampoline aspect of the party, make sure you share the rules of the trampoline with everyone. Sharing the rules is one aspect, enforcing the rules is another! Here are some trampoline rules you need to enforce during your July 4th party.
  1. Only one person at a time on the trampoline. The exception could be if you have two people of similar weight. If you have that, they will be evenly matched and injuries probably won't occur. If you have two people of vastly dissimilar weight, the lightest jumper could get injured. The exception would be if a parent wants to be there to help a child jump (but aren't jumping themselves)
  2. No shoes on the trampoline. Bare or sock feet are best. If you're worried about germy feet, have a basket of clean socks that the jumpers can put on before they get into the trampoline.
  3. No jumping from the trampoline to the ground. Use the ladder or other method you have to get onto and off off an above ground trampoline.
  4. No back flips.
  5. No food or drink on the trampoline
  6. All jewelry must be removed. Belts should also be removed. You don't want anything on that could snag the mat or that could get stuck and injure the jumper.
Enjoy your 4th of July party and invite the trampoline as one of your "guests!" If you’re thinking about getting an above ground or an inground trampoline this year, give us a call. Let’s talk about the best trampoline for you, your family and your budget.
