It may seem easier -- and it is easier -- to not worry about it in the winter, but that means you may be facing repairs and replacement of parts when you want to use it the next spring. Inground trampolines can either be packed away or covered with a safety cover. If you opt to leave it in the ground and leave the jump mat on you will want to remove layers of snow so it doesn't get too weighed down during the winter.
An above ground trampoline will require some dissassembling in order to store it. It may be a task that will require the help of friends and family. Hey, why not turn it into a party! Then you can extend the invitation to them to help put it back together the next season and they get first dibs on jumping on it!
