Great Christmas Gifts For Trampoline Owners

Do you know someone who owns a trampoline? Are you planning to get a trampoline for your family this year? We have ideas for great Christmas gifts for trampoline owners that we think you may appreciate!

Trampolines are fun for children and adults. They are also a great way to get in shape in a low-impact way. Trampolines can be extremely safe as long as there are rules in place that are followed every time someone is rebounding.

Great Christmas Gifts For Trampoline Owners

Here are some ideas for gifts for the inground or above ground trampoline owner in your gift-giving circle or for you!

  1. A trampoline! If the children have been asking for one, research an inground trampoline or an above ground trampoline for your family.
  2. A new jump mat. If you have a trampoline and the jump mat is getting old, buy a new one. Your family will appreciate that because they will get better bounce.
  3. A safety net to prevent anyone from falling off when they’re jumping.
  4. Trampoline shoes or a shoe holder that attaches to the trampoline.
  5. A new ladder, or a ladder, if you bought a trampoline without one.
  6. New springs if needed.
  7. New spring covers.
  8. A jump mat cover to protect the surface.
  9. DVDs or a subscription to a workout routine or program that includes trampoline work outs.

Ask friends or family who have a trampoline what they might need or want. They may want a gift certificate so they can purchase the items themselves and that is a great and thoughtful gift!

Fun Ways To Celebrate The New Year!

Buh-bye 2020! We can’t imagine there is anyone out there reading this who just wants to see 2020 in the rearview mirror, right? We know it’s been a difficult year for many people. We also know that the shut down of the country, work from home and schooling from home has given families an unprecedented time to re-connect. With that being said we want to talk about fun ways to celebrate the new year!

Let’s face the new year with a new mindset and hope our lives get back to normal. No one is certain yet whether we will be able to spend New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day with friends and family. If we do, we may need to wear masks and social distance and that may be all right in order to keep everyone safe and healthy until coronavirus is under control.

Fun Ways To Celebrate The New Year!

Whether you’re having your usual New Year’s Eve or day bash or if it will be a more subdued event this year, we have some tips on how to make it fun!

  1. Plan a special meal. If it’s you and your immediate family, let each person choose his or her favorite and plan an “appetizer” meal. Everyone will be able to sample the other foods as well as their favorites.
  2. Order dinner from your favorite restaurant and eat outdoors. If the weather is cooperative, set up a picnic-style meal. If it’s chilly, set up outdoor space heaters and invest in heated blankets then bundle up and eat your meals!
  3. Spend time on the trampoline together.
  4. Find a place to go and sit in the car or stand outdoors and watch the New Year’s fireworks. If there are no fireworks this year, make sure you stay awake and watch the ball drop in Times Square at midnight.
  5. Set fun resolutions with your family! Rather than saying, “I want to lose weight” (even if you do!) set a resolution to, “have family fun at least thirty minutes every day,” or “jump on the trampoline daily” or “play board games together” or “have family dinner — and each family member chooses his or her own favorite at least one day a week.”
  6. If you don’t have an inground or above ground trampoline yet, resolve to get one for your family in 2021!

What’s Best? In-ground Or Above Ground Trampolines?

This may seem like a question you can’t answer. What’s best? In-ground or above ground trampolines? It’s like asking who’s your favorite child, right? We put together a short list of benefits and challenges to both so you can make an informed decision when making a purchase of a trampoline — in-ground or above ground.

If you’re new to trampolines and perhaps haven’t even ever seen an in-round model, this will be a great 101 type article for you!

What’s Best? In-ground Or Above Ground Trampolines?

Here are a few things to think about when comparing one trampoline style to another.

  1. The bounce height. If you’re looking for pure height then the above ground model is what you want and the reason for that is that you already start out higher above ground than with an in-ground style. You can certainly get good height on an in-ground trampoline — make sure you follow installation instructions and that the airflow between the ground and the jump mat follow the installation guidelines.
  2. Aesthetically speaking, an above ground trampoline may be seen as an intrusion in your backyard. If you live in a neighborhood that has HOA regulations, it may not allow you to have an above ground trampoline. An in-ground trampoline blends in with the landscaping and is almost invisible.
  3. Both above ground and in-ground trampolines require set up and assembly. An above ground may be easier and quicker to set up because you take it out of the box and put it together. An in-ground trampoline will require excavation of the hole into which the trampoline will sit.
  4. An in-ground trampoline may be safer than above ground styles because you are closer to the ground from the get-go. No matter which type of trampoline you invest in you want to buy as much and as high a quality of safety accessories as possible.
  5. The maintenance and upkeep of trampolines vary on whether they are in-ground or above ground. In-ground models have their frames underground so they don’t rust as quickly, but if you’re worried about the weight of snow — an in-ground model may be more of a concern. Although, with both styles you will want to clear the snow off rather than let it pile up and have the continual weight damage the springs or jump mats. You will also want to cover the springs and the jump mat to protect them from the elements.

If you’re looking for a trampoline based on price, you may find that an above ground model is less expensive and will cost less to install because you’re not excavating a space for it.

There are unique advantages and disadvantages, none of which are difficult to overcome — it is just a matter of your personal preference.

Why Kids Like In-Ground Trampolines Best

If your children have been asking for a trampoline and if you’re going to get them one for the holidays, you may be wondering whether you should get an in-ground or an above ground trampoline. We have some thoughts on why kids like in-ground trampolines best. This list could also depend on the age of your children so keep that in mind!

Trampolines can be safe and are definitely fun as long as they are used with care and precautions. When you’re shopping for one for your children you will want to keep safety factors, quality of the trampoline and the experience of the company from which you’re buying it.

Why Kids Like In-Ground Trampolines Best

Your children may not know about in-ground trampolines but they are gaining in populary and here is why:

  1. Children feel safer (and parents do, too) because the trampoline is closer to the ground. Above ground trampolines may scare younger children because they are higher off the ground before they even start jumping.
  2. They may feel more confidence when they are jumping on an in-ground trampoline because they won’t have to worry about falling from a great height.
  3. It is easier for them to get onto the trampoline. With an in-ground trampoline your children won’t have to climb a ladder to get into or off of the trampoline and that makes them feel safer and more confident, too.
  4. You will like an in-ground trampoline more if you know it won’t detract from the aesthetics of your landscaping.
  5. There are many accessories you can invest in to make the in-ground trampoline even more fun — and safer.

An in-ground trampoline is fun and just because it’s in-ground doesn’t dimish from the fun and rebounding excitement. In fact, in-ground trampolines are sometimes considered even more fun!
